I give you giant rubber, acid trip tassle, may double as whip, keychain.
Allow me to explain:
Earlier Today…
I went to Walmart. There I found this giant bag of pink, orange, and blue rubber bands while looking for a crazy amount of gold safety pins. (FYI they don’t have them). I liked the colors, and the whole enormous bag was around $5 so…
Crafting. Challenge. Accepted.
Lately I have been looking for a non lame keychain. I, like so many people, suffer from an inability to remember where I put my keys frequently. It’s seriously challenging for me, so I decided to make my own key chain. If success is measured by how impossible it will be for me to loose my keys NOW vs. Before Walmart, then this is an INCREDIBLY successful craft.
Heres how I did this!
- Bunches of beautiful rubber bands. (the large size meant for newspapers)
- get them bundled for accurate cutting.
- trim ends.
- once cut re-bind with the loop (I braided mine) in place in the center. Flip it over and…
- Bind with another band. It should look like the tassel comes out of the center.
- It looked good but not finished…
- I took apart an old broken charm necklace and put a charm on the front with my wire pliers.
- Added to key chain. These things aren’t going anywhere!

Love!
You are so creative!!!
I love this idea! As a fellow LCAD student… I salute you and have been following your blog with much admiration. I would buy this product if my hyundai wasn’t “push to start”… which I am not bragging about (in any way) but has solved my lost keys issue nonetheless!
